Brazilian startup Eve, created by Brazilian aviation giant Embraer, the third largest airplane manufacturer in the world, is currently valued at US$ 2,4 billion, within a merger process between the two companies which is underway. This is more than the market value of Embraer itself, estimated at US$ 2,04 billion. The shareholders of US-based Zanite — a special purpose takeover company focused on the aviation sector — approved the merger of Embraer with Eve, which is considered decisive for the company's listing at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE).

The first launch will serve as a test for the HANBIT-TLV, a 16.3-meter-tall single-stage test rocket that serves as the development platform for the startup's commercial satellite launcher, the HANBIT-Nano.
