Petrobras breaks record for patents registered with the INPI in 2021
Petrobras is the Brazilian company that holds the most active patents — 1,067 in Brazil and abroad. Most of the projects related to the 118 orders for 2021 were developed to meet the demands of exploration and production, refining, gas and energy, renewables and sustainable development projects such as decarbonization and emissions reduction. Over the next five years, the company will invest US$ 1.6 billion in digital transformation and innovation.
